Wine the summer down

Ahh, August. This month ends for me with the memories of my first international trip I had the priviledge to take with my parents, siblings, niece, and by husband. It was an incredible trip to Italy with a few days in Venice and the remaining holiday in Sicily where by dad's birth father was from. There were so many moments and places that stay with me.

This witch did find a couple treasures to share. The vintage piece to share is a set of unique old rusty keys from a little antique shop in Modica. These traveled with me across the pond and I have them listed in my FB Marketplace shop for the locals.

I also picked up a sweet little leather coin purse from a leather shop in Venice that is listed in my Poshmark shop.

I gained a deep appreciation of all the fresh food and a refound interest in wine. I kinda gave up on wine a few years back struggling with the accompanying headaches even with a small glass. But it was different and I was able to enjoy and appreciate wine again. I am working on cleaning up a small area in the basement to store a few bottles of wine again including some bottles from a winery we visited in Vittoria called Occhipinti. I also feel in love with these vintage green bottles; demijohns. They were a bit too big for my carry on; but the quest is on to track one down here in the states.

Cheers my friends to the approach of summer's end. I am excited to share some fun things coming soon in September.
